Mikey, this depicts well the difficulty that so many in the medical area as they tried to help those with mental issues with what they had. Still so many misunderstandings. The take away about the issue and also possession, as it were. Well written, my friend. :0 GracieAnn

I really like the way use use italics when you have to write about the person's inner thoughts. It makes it so much easier to follow along. I fear for little Florentine.

Have you done any reading on the Roman emperor, Julian? Very interesting and might help with the book. He actually tried to turn back the clock, take Rome back from the church. Gore Vidal's book Julian is an excellent fictional biography.

Valerius is right not to trust those priests. I hope he can make the child's play into nothing so they can be on their way. I am curious to see what will happen with Julia. Another well crafted chapter.

I was just in time to catch this chapter. I still find it amazing that the two souls meet on Earth, and don't realise this but are attracted.

Wow! Talk about bad timing. So this is the beginning of the end. I can see the domino effect rapidly changing events from here on. It's interesting how this chapter was going along so well, and then with one little incident, it completely changed.
Great chapter, I'm looking forward to seeing the aftermath.

How gifted at lying one would have to be in those days. This is a close call. Can't wait to see them find away to ditch this mean-spirited bully.

Did not see Cassius in the author notes. I do recall him being the brother of Julia, sort of like a guardian brother. Lots of conversations going on. You are slowing building a plot and character. Do the Romans have dogs or cats? Or possibly animals which come from Africa. Will there be events to see -- you know, they had them arenas t entertain people, like our football domes of today and colloseums. Will Valerious document his cures and findings in a medical log? Keep a record of all of his patients. Are there nature herbs in the wilderness that the young girl can harvest/ Like plants, mushrooms and healing herbs. Just some theories. Are there barbarians in the woods. Desendents from the previous wars and tribes. Maybe some type of wizard will mysterious appear full of knowledge that could be useful for Valerious. These are only ideas. Trying to be helpful, not just to say nah or hey. Bac then thenonly then you could trust is your sword! Count your doubloo, Mikey, the headless horseman rides again! wackydo

Hey, my friend. Lots of great ideas to add to the mill upstairs! I am taking this one slow. You're right on Cassius, good memory. The guardian brother describes him perfectly. I'll add him to the cast, he's important. An oversight on my part. I'm surprised at where the conversations go sometimes when they start talking. There is danger all around. Lots of factions vying for power. Rome has fallen, but it is still there. Fighting everywhere. Lots of church conclaves too. Bishops from all over getting together trying to say what is what. I don't know where my head went, I had it a couple days ago... mikey

Are there Hemits cowering in the shanty woods. Maybe a real witch stalks the spooky forest. I think they had a lot of vineyards to please the palette. Maybe there's a drunkard in the village. This is how my mind goes, Mikey. I can not silence it from these thoughts that come rushing. I verbicide myself sometimes. You got plenty room for growth at your will and pace. Some of my ideas are wacky. Plenty room for expansion. Good luck LCDR (Bard) Cahill, Foxtrot.
