Yes 9/11 was horrific, and I think this poem really highlights the impact of that time. I think it is an exceptional piece. I did wonder what those angels were waiting to "receive" and wished I knew a little more about that. It crossed my mind that a concentrated effort was being made to find a word that rhymed with the word "leave" in the first stanza. I never felt that anywhere else in the poem, and don't think it is of such significance that it should remove a star--just one of those fleeting thoughts that gave me pause. My mind works in overdrive sometimes. Again, I think this is an exceptional work that should further imprint on readers the sadness and horror of that event.

This is the best poem about Sept.11 that I have read. I like the image of the angels weeping over the tragedy and the image of the four horseman. I was in England boarding a plane home when the towers were hit. I will never forget that day. Your excllent poetic form pays tribute to those who died that day.

The sadness is felt for each senseless act of terror among cultures with a tremendous history of achievement. ISIS wants us all to reject our concept of faith for a hideous disregard of human values so displayed in what should be a intelligent discourse of equals. I guess some make the transition - some don't.
I may not be writing for a while (Marilyn and I are doing fine - no health problems) for I need a long break. In mid October we fly to China (Beijing, Xi'ng. Lhasa (Tibet), a cruise on the Yangtze River to Shanghai. I will have lots to say on my return. I may even buy a copy of Chairman Mao's little red book of poetry (hopefully in English); it is actually a must.

It was indeed a terrible day. Needless to say that the evil ones that committed the deeds died and were carried to a most terrible place. No virgins there, sorry!

Hello Seagull, Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn, at the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. This is said on ANZAC Day to remember the troops - I like to include the innocents that died in the Twin Towers. Love, K.

Angels wept at the carnage... powerful phrase. I must believe everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing the moments the planes hit - it was surreal. And the aftershocks with the plane in Pennsylvania and the Pentagon being hit will remain in painful memory forever. Thank you fore remembering and sharing. AT=/
