This is precious. I love the imagery, the words, and the photo. It brought joy to my heart and a smile to my face.
I like "I think I can." "It looks so easy, far as I can tell," He is fearless and focused. Thanks

Ha-ha, nice, Tom, and I suppose it never hurts to try...unless you fall, that is! My son, once an avid skateboarder, coaxed me into trying it once.

I will not make that mistake again, my body is far too old for such brutality. I think I fell about five times. OUCH!

A wonderfully written little poem on the power of perseverance when trying out new things.

Well done!

That adventuresome streak does start young. Skateboarding is great for learning balance and focus. Makes summer move quicker. Cute photograph. Nice poem.

Nothing like an older sibling teaching us as we watch their movements;
A well-written children's poem, we learn by doing;
I like the 4-5 quick tempo--a pleasurable small poem.

As you can see, I'm catching up and note that your grandson is at least 2 years old! My nephew is Stephan Janowski, an international skateboarder, who apparently is famous enough to have his own line of shoes with Nike. Tell the tike it is possible to have a successful career in just about anything if you work hard enough! Thanks for another fun rhymed quatrain and glimpse at being a grandparent--my son is a 37-year-old bachelor--so, I have to enjoy the status vicariously. More cheers- Joan

Another wonderful piece on the theme of 'children eating and at play." This one captures what every kid does , imitate their peers even if it means a little fall and a bruise, but that's part of growing up. Well done, Tom.

Both poems are complemented by nice photo's. Different rhyme. The first one about your grandson's first birthday and the second about him watching his brother skateboarding.

Great little write about your grandson.
He is really cute. If he's like mine he'll catch on quick like mine did at 2 1/2 years old. Now he's three and Him and his brother are doing tricks together. They learn oh so fast.
Love the write and the picture of your grandson is adorable!

Fine verse thinking 'I can.'
Just noticed the little guy could be going at it backwards...ooops, we tend to do that sometimes...

Reminds of poem of little engine that could.
