Beautiful imagery and great little "faux" limerick.
The words flow and rhyme nicely with a subtle humor.
Thanks for sharing my friend..

What a splendid picture to ease the reader into your 'faux limerick' which I might add I thoroughly enjoyed reading this morning and I thank you for it - Dinah

Oh what lovely plants DO grace this lawn,
Along WIDE path I walk upon.
What do you suppose
is tickling my nose? good use of 'tickling'
fragrant flowers, love the 'r' alliteratives
WHENEVER I find them in my sight,
THEY FULL FILL my eyes with SWEET delight,
I give praise to God,
For where I trod,
QUITE blessed with BRIGHTNESS blue, yellow, white.
Suggestions only. No disrespect intended. Loved the essence of spring flowers portrayed.

Thank you Stephen for excellent. I like the "that/ this" better than "do". Yes wide work and adds nice alliteration. "whenever" sounds too heavy there. Good thoughts.

Did you notice that/ this followed by this/that?

Dear Tom: No I did not. Just posted new poem.
With affection: Steve C
PS: I heard that you're snowed in again.

Yes, got 9 inches last night. But it's warming up into the 40s and 50s. Still I'll have to plow the driveway.

I'm guessing that spring is finally arriving in the north for once again these lovely spring poems are in full bloom.
Faux limerick format shares the thoughts and sentiments well and now
I guess I'll soon feel envy as inthe south we begin autumn with winter to follow.
Don't forget to share these colourful visions.

Thank you Shirley. I will. We just got 9 inches of snow last night, but it will be in the 40's and 50s by Sunday.

A fine write from you!
You did well with this limerick.
Though I have heard of limericks never written or considered once to write about it.
Thanks for sharing!

Dear Tom - this is a lovely work and your picture shares the beauty with your words. Nice images that pop for me to enjoy and the deeper sense of the sacred path within all things.
Wonderful work my friend.
Thanks for sharing it.

A great poem because it recognizes God's power in creating this magical color scheme of flowers of bright blue, yellow and white to enhance our soul and spirit, Well done, Tom.

Lovely Lawn is a lovely limerick! I enjoyed the smooth rhythm of your lines and the fact they they are not obscene! I love the message of this poem too.
