That sucks! your computer loosing your data. I know how hard it is recounting lost data, a nightmare but you seem to have rebounded pretty good, considering. So, they discovered some new equipment. I realize, their are catacombs they haven't discovered yet, it could run for miles and your imagination could bring anything. I' surprised the earth's ozone is still there. Nukes could trigger a new ice age because the clouds smite out the atmoshere and you die from radiation poison. Don't you need masks to brave the elements so you don't get cancer. Maybe, it was mostly, biological warfare. One nuke placed strategically over a zone will knock out sattelite communications, send you to the dark ages. I read plenty 'Secret' documents on this when i was in the navy. Of course, I can't discuss it, called espionage and I'm trained not to reveal secrets. Sorry, about your computer. I got a secret weapon of mine brewing, a project. You will know!! when it is unleashed, for sure! looking good, Mikey, rock on.

Still not sure all that happened, but I think it's mainly chemical and burned some big holes, but not all of it. The satellites are going. They need to get some juice into the compound. All kinds of solar panels. Probably generators. Who knows? I don't. Hahaha. Don't forget e-mail. mikey

I've lost work too...sometimes I just hate computers. But at least what you have on FanStory is saved. This made complete sense and I like the direction it is heading. Great work with this one. As usual, no suggestion, remember, I'm just along for the ride.

I have experienced "the massive loss" before and boy does it suck. I wrote a genealogy book for my family and lost a heap all at once.

This is winding up really good. The find in the bunker is the mortar to wrap it all up. And it isn't too far fetched to see us (as a country)shooting ourselves in the foot like this.

Don't know what you had written and lost but this works nicely and is believable.

I think this is still just on the edge of credibility, but it's very well-told. All depends on how you follow it up, in my view. This could become very exciting, and be a very popular science-fiction/futuristic tale. My suggestions remains: continue to keep it believable. It's very intriguing, and holds the reader's interest from beginning to the end of the chapter.

Good stuff here. I like the mind control explanation, the underground city and the solar power (assuming they found a clearing in that forest).

Just one thing bothers me... there is NO WAY the US would slaughter millions of Arabs or anyone else!!! Where are you getting such a crazy notion? Now, Iran would do it. China would. Russia might, but the USA? What have you been drinking? :)

Hi Mikey,

What a horrible thing to happen - to have stuff wiped out from your hard drive. How on earth?

A great read. Lots of excitement, tension and futuristic drama.

Good luck with the memory bank in your head. :)

Have a great day!

How awful, you lost some of your story, it is so easily done. I go potty if I lose a line of poetry I scribbled on a piece of paper while out for a walk! Anyway, it is still great and good job you have a good memory. It sounds like it's getting into serious war time stuff. Enjoyable as always. Faye

They have a energy source. They have information about the mind control. Sorry about the lost work. I think you and Christine can help stop some of the mind control without electrician help.

This is a turning point!!! I believe that all of this is possible and even see this as a warning. Perfect to involve the Chinese. What an enemy. Iran has the heart for war but not the technology. With oil money a lot of brain powercan be lured. The rusiians are the most likely to be on board and the most likely to be on a par with the U.S. now things are rolling. Let's get em. NG

Dear Michaelcahill,

Your chapter of your book is very interesting. It is a well thought out story. You seem to have great plot for the entire novel based on what i have read in this chapter. Your writing is very good and so is your dialogue. It will be good to find out how you go with your novel after you have finished it. This book chapter was enjoyable to read, and the mysteriousness of the chapter you have written makes me want to read more. Well done

Kind Regards,
Cory4
