Bravo! You handled what could have been a messy affair wonderfully. I'm talking about Joe. Instead of giving him a voice and a foothold in the command structure, you completely discredited him, while making a wonderful statement about polititians in general. Great job. Now let's see if these new soldiers are friendly.

Mikey, this is a good way to describe the need to take the role of leadership in order to survive the moment. That politician is not an sort of an ass-et. He'll be a thorn in the side. It will be interesting to see how the soldier mix will happen. Good job. :0 GracieAnn

How well-armed is the camp? Anyway, I do hope that the soldiers attack. It would add mystery/tension that the Russians could be subdued and come to your side, but not our own troops.

I passed that point, but that is sticking in my mind going forward. It is the US soldiers that I have a feeling I can't trust. The US troops are better armed. mikey

Still enjoying the tale. Always anticipating reading the next chapter. Interesting how there's always those who can't let go of the past and take care of the business on hand. A very observant and thoughtful write.

True, many of the campers keep thinking in terms of what was when that is no longer in existence. mikey

I'm really liking the story so far. I like the fact that the group of people - the 'Yoseminites" - do not want to get a politician back in charge...they are doing so well for us now..can't wait to read the next installment!

Interesting, you are introducing new customers. A company of Americans 30 strong. I hesitate, wonder why they act the way they do? After all, he shouted friendlies, maybe, they fear they will get ambushed, a tactic, trick. Did these campers come from the north, did they skirmish with the Russians in Alaska, now, Russian soil, I suppose. What is your groups strength, 30 men want be an easy victory, to defeat them. I saw no SPAG, that's great. Good job, comrade. wackydo count your doubloons. ******

I must have missed several chapters of this book. It's obvious that it's in a war setting and a battle is about to erupt. God loves you and so do I.

Yes. Well, they are actually campers that were stuck in Yosemite and the world kind of fell apart around them. So, everything is kind of coming there way! It is getting complicated. The more I write, the farther away the end seems.Hahaha. Blessings, mikey

This getting REALLY exciting. I think the way you've written it out is pretty much as it would happen; it's believable. I love the way there are so many mysteries here. I think it was exactly right that Johnny just took over, and I loved the interplay with Joe (that probably won't be the last of that, I imagine). I can't imagine who the soldiers could be, or how they got hurt. Very good writing, I think. I'm intrigued to read more.

So pleased you are enjoying this. It's in a situation where I have to put myself there and kind of let it write itself. Some of what's happening I think would be almost a certainty to happen. It's back to being fun to write. I was struggling for a while! I'm way behind in answering these. I hope you know that I read every single word with great interest and that the input is so important to me. Thank you so much, mikey
