Interesting. Government... can't live with it and can't live without it. Common sense seems to only go so far before pride and desire for power come into play. Makes one wonder how humanity could ever continually survive, or at least survive living in peace... Of course history teaches us that it can't. Wonder what's going to happen to this thus far fairly well organized, cooperative, and decent group of folks when egos kick in or times become immediately and perpetually dire. Great story. Offers much to think about.

This has got to be one of the best writings from you, mikey. A lot of wisdom in this chapter. You stated a lot of truth, my friend. Great job.

This chapter is packed!!! Humor as always. I find it in line and realistic based on th personalities involved. The ending was unexpected and castes grave doubts for me on the chance for success of these people to organize. How many more people have notions of being in charge? This could be the trouble that Ma is talking about. NG

Interesting musing on the nature of time and on the need to focus on the here and now
my leg's asleep - add the apostrophe
Who says he is the best one to take command? - add question mark
a thoughtful question at chapter's end about what counts in creating a leader

This takes an interesting flip. One would expect Russian commander to want to lead but Joe's a surprise. Lucky it wasn't Ted Cruz, Lindsey Gramm, or Rand Paul. LOL,

Yeah, I would rather but Johnny in charge too. I don't trust politicians :) Just a few suggestions.
Humans seemed to crave repetition it. -- Not sure what you wanted to say with this sentence.
These people had stepped up and proven themselves. They have probably surprised themselves. --- These people had stepped up and proven themselves. For a few, it might had come as a surprise. (Avoid repetition)
