Again, another great chapter. Like the way everyone is pulling together for a common goal. Just like I picture would happen if this occured. Well done.

Mikey, this is a great resolution to a dire problem. The old adage, "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" certainly comes into play here. Truthful reasoning here, "By considering themselves superior, they become inferior". The direction is a good one. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

I like the direction too. But, it is scary thinking of how complicated it probably is "out there". We'll see. mikey

Yes, definitely like the direction this story is going. Will be interesting to see it unfold. Liked the bit of humor with the "drunk possum" bit. That would be a sight to see. lol

Glad to hear it! It feels a little more in focus for me now. I have a friend in mind that Christine is loosely based on. Her humor pops in to my head from time to time. Very off the wall. My favorite! Thanks! mikey

I have to admit that I was a little confused at the end of the last chapter, but now I realize what happened. Sorry, I was reading too fast, but now I see it has a bit of a Hunger Games dynamic to it. It almost has the feel of a Gamemaker watching over everything and controlling the whole situation.

It became a little clearer to me as well. Still some hazy areas to focus in on. But, looking better in my mind now. Thanks for the input. I'll check out Gamemaker. mikey

You are handling the explanation of the dream sequence correctly, not dwelling on it but just throwing a few snippets in every now and then. Now the question- just what enemy would booby trap cargo rather than just bomb the crap out of them? The enemy must be within the border, trying to keep up appearances. And why the survivors such a threat?

Still working on that! Hahaha. I don't seem to be happy unless I am digging myself out of some hole. I think they are just trying to kill them for the sake of it and perhaps there isn't much control on their part. The enemy may not be all powerful. Things are in flux perhaps everywhere. Something like that?

The survivors have a common enemy now. They need to band together or die. It is going to be hard on people how count on big government to take care of them. It will be easier because they have less to protect. They are not soldiers working for a pay check. Thus is personal. Great work.

This is amazing! Superbly told - the plot rolls right along, is mostly shown, not told, and the reader is intrigued to the end. Plus, the plot is beginning to make believable sense. Kudos!

I was treading water for a long time!! Hahaha. I finally reached the shore. Yes, this felt like it was going the way I wanted. I had to fill some holes. (that I dug myself!) Glad you liked it. mikey

This was a decisive chapter, maybe the turning point in the chaos-united we stand, divided we fall! Strong story line and characters have come alive. Enjoyable read. Faye

Good chapter. I especially liked the speech at the end. So, the clampets are heading to war. I still don't understand why the government wants to wipe everyone out. But with the new Capitol being relatively close to where the group is, I can see the president getting a sudden, unexpected visit in the near future.
