nice use of the structure that you built the poem around, as you indicate in your notes. Great expansion on the topic also !

Comment from Shirley E Kennedy
This is certainly a sight worth waking early to see.
The beauty and stillness of the early pre-dawn is so calming and uplifting for the soul.
A well written Whitney poem and a great subject choice.

These words are quite amazing-"just a cup of this new dawn for you." As we drink the wonderful sweet nectar of the yellow sun perhaps with some bacon and eggs! Well done.

Excellent but foggy photo as your poem describes as well. A nice wake-up call you got by these birds and then a cuppa. How much better can life get?

Hi, Treischel,
"New Dawn" is a truly first rate whitney poem that meets the line syllable requirements of the form. It has excellent meter and rhyme. The structure is excellent visually.

Wonderful and fresh poem. Very interesting form. Your words has been perfectly chosen and emotions are very well presented. The second last line though has 6 syllables instead of 7. Excellent presentation. Well done.

This must have been breath taking to witness. Scenes like this make me realise how small and insignificant I am. Thanks for sharing this experience in a well formatted and interesting style of poetry
