A wonderful offering in tribute to a man that sounds like one in a million!! ;) I would only suggest, perhaps, for a smoother flow in your fourth line and sliding into the second quatrain, you have 'my loving hubby's always'... please feel free to ignore! ;) :) Thanx for sharing! ;) ;)

I like knowing that this poem was written more than several go ago that you appreciate your spouse for all he has done and still fighting for all that he is yet to do. Your words speck of the unconditional love and marriage vows that a couple shares with the support from each other. I'm giving this 6 because of its purest form its rhyme scheme with the ironic ending. Tells a great story, and with the description that's added shed a tear. I know I'm second reading, I believe guides is a slant rhyme with light. Knowing that you have achieved at this level fascinating writing after battling Parker's for 10 years is a outstanding accomplishment in another soft I applaud you.
So glad glad I happened upon this during bonus reviewing.
