Hi Mikey, you are a poet! Nothing can ever take that away from you, your words drip with enthusiasm, going through the seasons and showing deep feelings all the way through. Yes, a poet believes in every word written. Excellent! xsx Sandra

Like how you relate the poetic temperament to the seasons. And holy alliteration, Barman! Alliteration that though excessive, works, your word choices fitting the seasons, particularly " mirthful, melodious madcap merriment". I see this as not only composed to your love, but as poet to muse. A true poet believes every word written as it applies to that poem, the truest, most perfect word to fit the particular piece. Take dramatic monologue for instance- a poem in a character's voice. I wrote one about Salome. Do I believe every word that comes out of her mouth in the poem? No. But I tried to stay true to her character or the vision of the poem.

Yes, exactly on the money. That is the thing really. To get it exactly and precisely correct. That is what drives me crazy. Actually I read something that was getting good reviews and I thought the descriptions of the seasons were a little thin so I went a little crazy!! Glad you liked this. I was thinking muse and then I saw wife sitting there so slanted it a bit that way. mikey

Thank you so much. Someone posted a poem that was a little sparse describing the seasons. So, that is what got me started. ha! Crazy poets. mikey

Yes indeed a poet believes every word written. .......because the words come from our inner creative self who is true. Even fantasy tales are anchored in truth somewhere. I found the font a strain to read.
I liked it
God bless

Oh, was it? I'll take a look at it. I always have a bit of trouble finding the right colors and fonts. I am glad you were able to enjoy it in spite of that. Thank you for a wonderful review, mikey

she must be a wonderful life's partner to have been your muse for this heart felt expression. you are more than a humble poet, you are a good poet using many wonderful poetic devices. you are a master at alliteration for sure.

I got a little lost in the direction of this one, but help from your last line put it more into context.

However, what did not escape me was the poetic excellence in your word usage.

Alliteration at a premium.

Rich with a flavor direct from the soup of words that only exist for a certain few.

For the richness it portrays, which may be synonymous of your work, and for a good poetic interpretation, I give this a six.

Try to keep a lid on direction as sometimes you may be too creative for your own good.

Best wishes, Mike.

Well done,

RG

Excellent advice. I do get carried away with the words sometimes and begin to forget the message of the piece. I appreciate the reminder. I am delighted that you enjoyed this enough to give it such a stellar review. Wonderfully encouraging!! Thank you, mikey

what a great poem, filled with such emotional attachments for love and poetry. it's not just an attachment, it's a part of who we are as writers.
if I was to define myself as a writer, I would say that I am an obsessive-compulsive-emotional-mess.
six stars are for a great choices and play on words. everything was placed perfectly and kept the poem flowing.
Wonderful work, Mikey :)

I love your definition of a writer. That is spot on. What is funny is that we wear that with pride too. I don't think any of us would trade that in and not write. So encouraged and pleased by your wonderful review. Thank you so very kindly. Big Smiles!! mikey

We poets can sometimes be called manic-depressive. We can become on fire with passion or drown in sorrow and despair. Our becomes deeply colored with passionate blues and purple's. Great work..
