I loved your poem. It's the first cowboy poem I have ever read and it's great. The image and background enhanced the poem. Your rhyme and rhythm were perfect. Good luck in the contest. ~Brenda

In my opinion, a sterling write in tale and rhyming rhythm, which I found vivid in its read, till the last stanza, which read a bit uneven - easily corrected upon reading aloud. For example, with your permission:
"leaving the outlaw tucked safely away,"...

Thanks. That's a good idea for the last stanza.

Congrats on All Time Best for your fun write. Your quatrains told a great haunting story, loads of fun. It pays to listen to ghostly guns. I liked it so much, wish I had a six for you ****** virtual stars today.

Interesting tale - altho didn't quite understand all of the plot. And why the ghost locked up Rusty - thought he was one of them. Nevertheless., it's a compelling tale.

Thanks. Rusty's the cattle rustler. The ghosts were rustlers hanged on the hill. They liked him, but Rusty didn't know it.

This is an excellent seasonal poem with an intriguing western theme. I enjoy reading about cowboys, and this posting offers the bonus of having Roundup in it as well.

Hello Cindy,

This is delightful cowboy fun in a poem :) I can see and smell the horses dropping their poo. That always gets me at the Calgary Stampede parade. The poor marching bands have to step around the horse poo while not missing a beat of their music. Then then street cleaners get at it and it looks like diarrhea everywhere. Yuck. I watch the parade on tv from home now. Sorry to toss that at you. My silly mind went to that.

Back to reviewing...I enjoy Western poetry, and yours is tops. Best wishes in the contest.

Joy xx

Thanks. I'll have to check out the Stampede one of these days. I've heard so much about it, and it's really not that far away. Why wouldn't they send the band out ahead of the horses? Glad you enjoyed my poem.
