Yes, as are mine, Mr/ 'T'. Sad, all that pristine forest destroyed, all of those animals displaced. Many of the critters are running out of substantial habitats as it is, they sure didn't need the fire to help...
My prayers are with the brave firefighters trying their collective bests to put this thing out!

two fifty wooded miles neat way to put it
up in smoke
as wildlife runs or dies (as fireman)
Tis a tragic shame indeed when man and beast suffer so.

Thanks Stephen. Yes, the firemen too.

Yes, you don't hear very much about the animals that are losing their habitat, or worse, their lives. The cost in animal life must be enormous, and yet not a peep about it.

So much summer madness. It's wild. Sad news too. We need rain. Who wants to dance... A current event. Good form. Nicely done. Great.

New format for me. I like your Haiku, about the wild fires that keep the firefighters busy, and puts them in harms way protecting others. Great job Sararb :)

Thank you Sara. It is amazing the resources that are tied upon just this 1 fire.

great poem..and our hearts go out to all those devastated by the terror of these flames..How we appreciate those who battle to save land and homes..and I can only imagine what the wildlife is going thru..

Just as my thoughts in my poem are with the wildlife. We need wild places simply because they should be and they stir our souls. I hope they get the fire contained and tamed.
