Perhaps you should set the opening a bit better by placing your author note about the police in the beginning because I was lost for a while. A glance at your notes helped me catch up, though. :)

I agree, but I was so near the max. word count and so close to the closing time for my entry, the best I could do was throw in the word police later. Thank you for the excellent.

YOu got crazy going real good here. I was cringing in Jessie's living room. Horrid, dirty, smelly and demented, Jessie is a great character. The candy made me sick. I actually squinched my face in response to reading it.

Sorry - that's Jessie, or Josie as she is called in my novels, is one of the few characters in my mystery stories who was based on a real person, who genuinely sucked the chocolate off the hard centres, but the real person binned them and didn't offer them to her visitors - at least, I don't think she did... Thank you for the excellent review. The short story is extracted from my novel "For All Eternity (and other short stories)" which introduces the policeman, Mike Newman. The stories are available as an EBook, and is free (although you have to ask Amazon to price match.)

I'll check out your book. I'm thinking of using Create-a-Space for two of mine. Are you happy with their e-book system?

I haven't used Createspace which is for printing books but published on Kindle Direct - it works for me.

Is that through Amazon or through a Kindle site?
Will Kindle let you publish as a book later if you want to?

Kindle Direct is part of Amazon. I'm not sure whether you use Amazon.com or Amazon.uk or another. Hope you enjoy the book!

I'm trying to get the Kindle app on my computer. I have another step but forgot my Amazon password. Ugh!
    I'll get there eventually. :)

This was an interesting short story to read, which held my interest from the beginning to end. appropriate picture to accompany the story. Creative writing.
