oh vanity, vanity! You really think you'll cause Goldilocks' demise Den? Nuh-uh! Highest of skills demonstrated by G and 3B - 'cause you can't argue with the ultimate ending: they all lived happily ever after. We STILL expect it. (I know I do!!! Silly me!!! Hate howling at the end of movies!! refuse to do it!)

But I truly enjoyed your little parody. I might just look at your use of semi-colons though? You would often use a period instead, I think.

Big hugs Papa Bear!

:)Sharyn - ps: I'm a blonde, so watch what you say!

"Sharyn - ps: I'm a blonde, so watch what you say!" This was a blow for misunderstood blondes everywhere so your caution must be for someone else. :)

I really wasn't trying to rid the world of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I'm just complaining about the literary elite who read and over-analyze this simple tale, seeing profundity where there is none... Thanks for reading and reviewing. PB

I think it's probably because the story is filled with archetypes Den - the helpless maiden, the villain, the helpless and innocent babe etc ... People love archetypal stories!

Oh this was hysterical! I really enjoyed this version
much more than the original. You may have cause its
demise from all the children's books available today.
It used to be one of my favorites, but you have changed
my mind. As for the Bimbo..Bimba..Goldilocks..I never
liked her anyways.
Thanks for the chuckle.

I really wasn't protesting the story as much as the literary elite who find all kinds of profundity in this simple tale. Sorry you don't like my Bimbo...er, Bimba. I thought she was pretty cool! :) Nevertheless, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Now, why would anyone notice the plaintiffs are bears when this is a kangaroo court? Miss Bimba is not as dumb as she sounds. Cute story. :) Nancy

Yes, I guess one could say she had the "horse laugh" on them. Thanks Nancy, Dennis

Geez, Dennis, I wish I had a sixer left for this week because I'd give this very amusing and entertaining story of yours such a rating. It brought a chuckle or two out of me. I like your use of dialogue. In fact, I see it is all dialogue! Great job, my friend.

Now, this is a very different kind of Goldie Locks story. She does sound like an uneducated (dumb) blond, and the bears sound quite intelligent. I wonder about the judge and bailiff. This is a fun little spoof.

Don't know if your parody of the Three Bears will begin its demise, but this reader certainly enjoyed reading it. Your depiction of Ms. Bimbo- excuse me Bimba- was quite entertaining.

I really don't mind the simple story itself. I do dislike the over-analyzing of it that has gone on for years. Glad you liked it!

:)HA! HA! HEE! ...and them there is Jack & Jill,
The Three Little pigs, jack and the Bean stock, Hansen & Gretel, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf,
and, and, and....

Some where I read or heard that all what we call nursery rhymes, were political poems about their opponents.

Anyway brilliant choice of poetry. Jerery

Hi Brother Jerry, I think you're right about the political spin. Gulliver's Travels was definitely in that category. Thanks! DEnnis

Hi Dennis,

This is a great story filled with humor and descriptive words. I don't know if what you wrote here will be the demise of the Three Bears but it was worth a try. Your last line is a killer and made me laugh out loud. Well done, chey

This work has reached the exceptional level

This take on the Three Bears has more star quality than most others I have read. Miss Cindy Bimba was a great choice of names for the defendant.

A very enjoyable post.
