My friend I so like this poetry style, you wrote your poem to perfection, I do not pay golf, but I know what your are saying about putts and such, I enjoyed reading about your golf, excellent write, excellent rhyming, rhythm and flow, imagery of your putting and slicing were great, blessings, sueellen

Nice illustration/presentation of your poem
strong use of abab rhyming
good alliteration in strokes the small/swing
and in flew and fell
good use of the repeating lines in characteristic pantoum format
traditionally in the closing you reverse the order of the lines left over from stanza one so that the poem begins and ends with the same line
Brooke :-)

Thank you Brooke. OK I'll keep that in mind. It didn't say that in Poetry Dances description, but now I see it did do it in the examples.

many Poetry Dances explanations are woefully incomplete

Well done. That's a good up-and-down. You have told an interesting tale in the four stanzas of your pantoum. To me, it's a weird assignment, but you have handled it very well. Never up, never in.

You did a great job, the beat was very specific and the rhymes as well. You stuck to the structure and provided a wonderful poem.

Even though, I have never visited a golf course, as one of my favorite sayings, when I'm not feeling well is I'm not up to par, though, really doesn't have anything to do with golf... So anyways, your poem was an interesting read, golfer or not..It was up to par!

As expected another wonderful write from you...his time on something completely different. The first para of this poem '"He clearly strokes the small white orb...........In curving arc,it flew and fell."is beautiful as well as sensuous.
Your description of the game imparts a soft touch just like the game is played.
A lovely write and a beautiful read.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge of a pantoum. I had no idea. Nice job on this poem and the game of golf. I have to differ with you on a typical hole a par 4. lol I am usually running around the 6-7 mark. Once a week isn't enough obviously. Because I golf I followed this through every stanza.

Thanks sup. I just meant that most of the 18 holes are par 4, not that I typically shot par. I more like you stated an am happy if I shoot bogy golf.

A well written piece which manages to communicate some of the attraction of golf even to me, who has never swung a club. I quite like watching it on television though! You use the poetic form very well and there's no hint of shoehorning your ideas in to make them fit. I find your phrase "Imparting power balls absorb" somewhat troublesome though as what force it absorbs does not convey it to where the golfer hopes it will land.

Thanks Stephen. I struggled with that myself, majestic you think of a lottery ticket, huh. But, I considered it and decided ghat the words conveyed what I intended.

This was great! I would never have thought about talking about golf in poetry but this was a perfect poem. This was a perfect style of poem too. It lead the reader from the t-off to the hole. Great job!

A well-crafted writing as the imperative rules of golf are explained utilizing good visual images;
I like the incorporation of the complex laws of physics as indeed they greatly contribute to the perfect score.
