Great story. You have outdone yourself on this one. I really enjoyed reading it and have truthfully given you credit for a very imaginative writing. Wonderful job.

A very interesting story of the Sydney Opera House. I know that each New Year I watch the fireworks around it (luckily you are a day ahead of us!). The opera house does look like a sailing ship in the picture.

Thanks for sharing this story with us.

Yeah that picture was back to front originally I had to reverse is as it had the South Steyne Ferry going the wrong way hehe. Dear old South Steyne has been off the run to Many for years. Appreciate the review thanks. I wrote this when I was 14.

This is very interesting what you have penned my friend. You used very good descriptive words and lovely art work with the picture. I bet that was really pretty to see and experience! Thanks for sharing! Blessings, Teri

Thanks SIs. I was all of 14 yrs of age when I wrote this for composition in High School. I am glad it never took a hundred years for them to finish the Opera House.

YOu have done great work with this one. I am so glad it didn't really take 100 years to complete this awesome project or we would still be waiting. In the photo it definitely looks as though it is drifting away. Nice work with this and glad you re-posted it since I missed it the first time around.

Sasha, I so much appreciate you coming by. I knew there as a bunch of newer fans and friends out there since I posted this way back when I first joined FS. I was only 14 when I wrote this for a composition at school. In1965 of course. By the way the ferry rounding the head where the Opera House is was the great old South Steyne. One of our greatest and most majestic ships that mostly sailed across the heads between the city and Many on the North Shore. It was in the news recently up for sale again I think. Has not been around Sydney for years. Sadly.

Hi Geoff, this is an interesting story about the Sydney Opera House. It looks like an unusual place to visit. I didn't notice any errors.

An interesting story of the Sydney Opera House. It does look like a sailing ship in the picture. I also have the impression that it's not very easily accessible to those who have difficulty walking or other physical problems. Check your date. You obviously don't mean 2065. The arrangement doesn't sound very practical, but the building has apparently stood the test of time. It is gorgeous to look at. judi

Hi Sis it was a satire and 2065 was a hundred years after I wrote the story. Meaning we thought it would take that long to get finished. Thankfully not so. Appreciate your lovely review. I think there are ramps and stuff to get in it these days.

So, you have been a good writer since your high school days at least. Thank you for sharing this fascinating piece about the opening of the Sydney Opera House and the great photograph. It certainly does look as if it could sail! Cheers- Joan

I enjoyed reading. I hate it when it's a repost and I missed the first post. I like to think I read everything people I'm fans of have posted. Boy am I ever wrong. LOL

A very well-written little story about the Australian Opera house with its unique sails and the long wait for it to be completed. When we are excited about something it seems forever before it is realized.

When something doesn't have a solid foundation, it can drift away with the tide. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read. There is good imagery.

    To write bold
    Or to write timid?
    That is the question.
One must find his own answer.
