This is a neat story in a poem. The cowboy is a great character, and a great legend. The image compliments the western scene.

This is a terrific story in rhyme. You really set the western mood and this reader had many clear images floating through her mind as she read. Lou

This work has reached the exceptional level

Morning found Rusty on the trail
With Jerry Jing-Jang waiting to toss him in jail.
Rusty the rustler was caught unaware,
Likewise the cowboy, for the sheriff was there.
He said "well done, thanks to Jerry Jing-Jang
I'll now take the prisoner and Rusty will hang."

Even for the not so happy ending, or who knows.., the poem's melodic rhythm and captivating story were keeping me interested from beginning to end.

Just a little disappointed at the end, (a job well done is better than an effort thwarted, in my opinion-Hollywood would never go for this..).

Thanks for the six! I'm so glad you enjoyed Jerry Jing-Jang. He's going to be riding for a while yet, so I can't wrap it up too neatly. I have to leave an opening for future adventures. Some of his old ones are available in my portfolio, if you're interested. Thanks again for the six.

'Jerry Jing-Jang, The Lawman.' "A Cowboy is what I'm meant to be." Very good Western poem you wrote here. I also thought your work was well formulated.

This was a fun romp through the wild west of your imagination. I like the play on words and the interplay of characters as you weave your stanzas in a very easy rhythm. Well done of a fine piece of work!

Hello there Cindy
This is very well written and has superb visuals as well. I was a cowboy 50 years ago, and it was such a lovely life. Your poem reminds me of days gone by

This poem has humorous and consistent a-a, b-b,c-c rhyming scheme that honors the genre of the ranch and country life. The realization of what one is meant to do is a great conclusion to the poem. :0 GracieAnn

What a rustic, frolicking tale of the old west, penned in sing-song fashion with a thriving, jiving, bouncy beat.

This tale of the cowardly sheriff, Rusty the rustler, and our hero of the day, old Jerry Jing-Jang himself, was very well done and so well executed. It reads almost like a fabled song of the old west, sung long ago in taverns.

Commendable achievement, and a poem well done!

What a smooth- flowing story line. After all that and ok Rusty is free. This one speaks to the nature of our justice system. I wish you luck and thank you for sharing your story with us
