Gorgeous picture and the words in the pair of Tanka really accentuate it. Truly wonderful. And to answer the question: I don't know what could be more grand than the innate beauty and serenity of nature as you've captured it.

Nicely done. The image and poetry flows together as one. The writer captured the sunset beautifully. Now, that's a quiet place anyone would've enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.

Nice very nice Treischel
First I love the serene picture you took
Now about your well written double tanka
When you said--
To watch setting sun
In reflected color show,
While mated mallards drift by.
of how and where one can find serenity.

Comment from Rosemary Rains
I really enjoyed this poem. It flows well and invokes a real feeling of peace and harmony. The picture adds to the joy of the moment. I'm very new to poetry, so not familiar with all the forms it takes, but this is very pleasing to a novice.

This 5-7-5-7-7 is well balanced in both its syllable count and presentation. The line "Lovely landscape lullaby" has smooth flowing alliteration. The punctuation does not detract from the write. :0 GracieAnn

A lovely verse that exudes of peace and contentment through out the entire verse. YOur picture certainly adds great dimension to the verse and picture within ones minds of this peaceful place. Well done. Hugs and smiles,
Robin :)

That is just beautiful, Treischel, when we have sunsets like this they have to be glorified. And you have done it proud. Both poem and photo are lovely. xsx Sandra
