I've had this picture of the old man for a long time and I think I've won three contests using his picture. Thanks/Bill

This is really very good. Should go down as a quote - the kind of thing George Burns would have said. You obviously have a sense of humour - I've just read your work - must read more. Regards Dorothy

This is a poem that for me, it would be a challenge, brief poems are always hard for me to tackle, so I admire you for that.
Also the message is well attained... It flows well and it is displayed as friendly reading and understanding. Simple, but to the point.

Thank you Angel for your great review, I appreciate your nice comments. Also, on your profile page you asked what was "blank verse poetry" I gave you a brief description on where to find this info. If I can help you in anyway, please let me know. Bill

'Advice For The Young.' I wanted to say to you: What do you know? But you probably have a very good reason for saying that or thinking it. Well done.

Thanks for your review. I'm 70 years old, so I do have a little experience with old age. Have a good day. Bill

Another great write in three sentence. Yes, we won't live that long if we are already past the normal surviving age and still not sure which way to go.
A hoot too.
Well expressed and penned.
Cheerio, Ritchie.

With all the winning entries, I had a field day reading your great hoots. Very entertaining and funny too but mostly with a nice message too.

Dear Cedar, This is an excellent example of a senryu. I can see why it won the contest. I like the humorous wit you showed in the third line. Great job. Thank you for sharing, Shirley

hahaha I love this poem; it was short, cute and amazingly funny. I love the art work most of all. I can see why you won the prize.

Well written, indeed with comical photo choice which brought a smile to my face. Clever wording, progression, rhythm and flow for an excellent read. Impressive imagery too. Congratulations on your win, Deb

Fine senryu, I did not see before contest end. It is true but try not to dwell on that short part. Just try to live day to day...and write some lines of verse.

You worked with cedar. My late father made some furniture from cedar. I have a chair he made using small had tools, sealed with tung oil.

see you around.

Thank you my friend for your review. Yes, I've been building all sorts of crafts and furniture from cedar wood for many years, however, old age is catching up with me now. I live in Kentucky, so there is a big supply of wood. Good to hear about your father building things from cedar, it's a wonderful hobby. Take care my friend. Bill

Well, this is certainly great advice, even though I'm not quite sure how accurate it is. LOL I guess it all depends on the age "old" actually starts, but I did enjoy this. :)

Thank you for your review. I've always felt that under normal circumstances, once you reach the age of 65 (especially men) you're in what I call, "the dying zone".

LOL If only the seventy-year-old men who thrash me on the tennis courts knew that....
