A really adorable poem. It's a cute, thoughful way to reminisce. ( I have no idea if that is how you spell that). What is it about our own kids that do make other's "sag"? No one feels about your child like you do and we should SHOUT IT OUT. Way to go with this poem....Eydie

Thank you for sharing the heartwarming story in both your poem and notes. I enjoyed your use of alliteration and appeal to our sense of sound, along with your rhyme scheme in these quatrains. (I think in stanza two, line three, "are" should be "is".) I liked the way you presented the photograph too. Cheers- Joan

A very touching story of daughters especially now that they are grown up. How time flies. With some loved ones gone, the young getting old and more births to come. Life just goes on and we cannot think too much about life anymore. We just follow the wave and the crowd. Very good imagery for all our children. Excellent write and heartfelt and made of happy moments. Lucky Triesel. Cheers, Ritchie.

I LOVE THE PICTURE. I LOVE THE POEM. A CHILD CONCEIVED IN love IS DEFINITELY WORTH BEING BORN. You TWO MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE.The love you showered her with was certainly good for you too. Great work on the poem and with the girl.

good alliteration in tickle her tummy
milk-dabbed chin - add the hyphen

This is a wonderful poem that should really bring a smile to readers who know the joy of having a baby girl, but I'm sure sons can do the same. These are the words of every proud parent. No other child can ever compare to our own, right? Of course not, and that poem illustrates this fact so well.
Nicely done, my friend. :)

I know what you mean. Feel the same way about my nephew. I don't like the circumstances he was born into , but I am glad he is here and love his puffy dandelion hair and his squeeky little voice.

A lovely poem, and a true representation of the bond between mothers and their children, with each verse capturing another aspect. Very well written.

Wow, you really must be so proud of your daughter. After reading your poem, how I wish I had a daughter too. But children are so innocent and cute when they are young.
