You capitalize His in your second stanza but not in your first stanza
good alliteration in give a glimpse
and hold onto him

I think it is interesting...and has some potentially knock-out lines. "The Rose of Sharon..." is one of those. It begins well but, for me, fizzles out a bit with "shepherd of the lame", esp"ly since i don't understand the "filling your heart with his golden seeds."(?) Sometimes for us to get the right effect many drafts are necessary. I think that may well be the case here. A credible beginning, but it needs some refinement...

This is a beautiful poem, and one of which I shall inform my sister. Her name is Sharon, and my father was forever telling her she was named after the rose, with it's peculiar charm.
