adewpearl--A captivating personification of nature's
inevitableness. I enjoyed the entire read, especial-
ly;
"...Sun cannot be long consigned
to shelves designed for storing."
Also, for me, definitive internal rhymes "consigned/
designed" are noteworthy for "Day Closes Up Her Shop."
The artwork is a personable complement as well. teafor2

Another beautiful write incorporating (and personifying LOL) the morning star. It's hard to believe that she'll only be around for another 5 billion years or so.
This was almost haiku-like in that it reveals a side of nature that we often don't consider and enlightens (no pun intended LOL) us to the world around us.
Excellent write, Brooke. A pleasure to read, as always.

Glorious artwork. Now think of that sun rising over Kariba. lol. Time we got back into the wilds of Africa. Loved this sunshine poem. It makes me look forward to the morning. Yep, such a bright light won't be stored away on a shelf. Well written. luv jada

I reviewed this a few moments ago but apparently it didn't take so I'm doing it again (I'm new to his site). Anyway, I really enjoyed your poem. It was gentle yet vivid and the rhyming kept it flowing in a nice way.

He signs his name in crimson ink
until the skies are burning,
a proclamation to us all
his light is soon returning.
Brilliant... a Brooke poem
which not only flows and rhymes
perfectly, but paints a picture
for the reviewers to enjoy...
A real pleasure to open up to, my friend.
Not able to give it a six...
