Well, Alexis, I can certainly see why you got all the attention from the dating site, and if you are enjoying it, I'm happy for you. Although, I can't imagine why such an attractive woman, capable of demanding attention anywhere, would subject her self to screening those hiding behind a computer, many lying and pretending. Thanks for the fun story. I enjoyed it and it was well written. GREAT job. :-)

Oh, my goodness. Truth is stranger than fiction, fiction has to make sense Mr. Twain tells us. I wouldn't believe this in the context of a fiction story.
Some of the phrasing here is a bit long to my ear. For example, "When I got home later that afternoon,..." could maybe be "Later, at home, I was delighted..." But then again that's just my editing style.
This is a great picture, EXCELLENT choice. :) Carrie

I loved this! A mutual friend suggested I read your pieces. I don't usually read women's lit, but my friend said that I should do it, as my wife is starting to hold me accountable and make me commiserate with her over her almost 50 status.
This piece was hilarious and I really enjoyed it! I think I'll her start reading your pieces for me!
Just a couple of questions:
So it was a week ago when--comma after so--
I hate shopping, no seriously, I do. I'm one of those people who sees things I can't afford when I find them, or can't find anything I like when I can.
--or else, when you're running through a store and see something you like, but don't have time to stop, it's gone when you come back to get it?
in my opinion not displayable at my age. So a bikini, which would solve the uneven size problem, was not up for discussion.--HaHa..too funny.
fitted-It fitted me, is that a word..Scottish? British, perhaps?
she was delighted --maybe a period after delighted, eliminate the because and start a new sentence?
and wing over to her via an email--I love that, I think it will be my new saying...I'll wing it over to you..perfect!
--'bay watch'- Bay Watch? Proper noun?
had--maybe unnecessary?
Fan story--one word?
, but I --maybe take out the I?
in a moment of madness,---You didn't really did you???Too funny!
Cheers,
Rob

Thank you so much for your great review and very helpful advice, Rob. Yes 'fitted' is the UK version of 'fit' although I sometimes revert to the US version, a bit like cell phone versus mobile, as we say here. Yes I'm afraid I really did do it, as the newspapers confirmed (cringe!) Alexis x

Great stuff here, and a super photo
This sounds like a time I accidentally sent a email to the wrong person,
not copmared to this responce.
It sounds like a reluctant celebrity to me but a nice one.
Thanks for sharing

So you are now going to be a swimsuit model for Marks and
Spencers, eh? Worst things could have certainly evolved
from your decision to post your picture on the dating site,
I'm thinking! This is a wonderful, wonderful story.
thanks for sharing
love,
jan

Wow. I can only imagine what it would be like to experience something like this. However, in looking at the picture - I'm not surprised.
You are a very attractive person so I can easily see how it would draw so much interest.
Thanks for sharing this rather humorous story. JW
