springs' Among other things, I picked up on the bits of feminine endings. You serve a succulent sample...

A beautiful rhyme cleverly put together with lovely language. The inter dependence of the berries with brook and sun are conveyed with wonderful poetic panache. I love the element of appreciation and thankfulness for God's Creation that you see as personal. Great work brilliantly presented!

don't you just love harvest time, when all the blackberries stand proud and ripe, we make a vinegar from them, now that is my picture of bliss!

I love the photo. The woods we used to live nearby had cherries like this and they were lovely. You really did a lot: two Octets and this lovely meter. Nice read the day after Sunday.

This is a lovely poem about the pleasure you experience picking blackberries straight from the bush.
Great alliteration with berries burst and brook that burbles...burbles is a cool word.
Nice abcb rhymes too, I especially liked dining and designing.

Thanks you, Brroke, for this lovely poem! As a very good chef, myself, there is truth to the taste of perfectly juicy, ripe berries. My Dad found a stand of wild blackberry bushes by the railroad tracks and we would go gather them up in summer, eating half of what we would gather:)
To dine al fresco on some ripe berries, now that is really somethin'

    Yes, I think my talents end with typing:)
    My Mom was a good cook, even worked professionally and my three best friends in high school (says a lot about my friends) opted for culinary school. As a young musician in New York, I could pick up some brunch and lunch work to supplement my income with them. A professional kitchen is nuts, you could be peeling potatoes one minute then being taught how to make a gallon of Bordalais sauce the next:) Even though I'm blind now, I do all the cooking. My friends are amazed and actually shudder at how fast I can slice an onion; they think they're going to witness an amputation!

    I'd tell you more about myself, but to a great extent, I try to downplay my wonderfulness:)
