This one of your most basic works, but also one that succinctly addresses the bounty our God gave us to subsist on. Your thanks to Him will be received gratefully, because how many of us recognize and thank God for these basic blessings?

Lovely. What a fine poem. I taste the berries. I feel them burst in my mouth and now to satisfy my cravings, I feel like making a fruit pie. Ginger

Oh, Brooke, this sings right through your mind. It flies like a butterfly right through your consciousness. I swear I don't know how you do it, but it matters naught. I get to read these wonderful poems. I should pay you!!!

Hi Brooke,
Great poem from you as usual. mmmmm! Don't you just love berries? What is your secret? All I have time for is reviewing and I feel depressed I have only received two reviews all day, and I mean ALL day. Makes a gal want to give up. You have 223 views sense the 19th? How do you do it? I know you deserve it, not complaining just wonder am I missing something. Keep it up! You put some beautiful work out there.

Thanks so much, Nancy. Getting reviews is not that mysterious. For one thing, I promote high. Some people read for the pleasure of it, but many review for the pay out. Another reason is I have a wonderful group of fans, many of whom are quite loyal. I also write mainly upbeat poems that are not all that difficult to understand, and lots of people like that kind of poetry. Hope that helps. :-) Brooke

You are so right about your poetry. They are upbeat and easy to understand and not too long. I hate long poen's something gets lost in the words. I like to promote high too. Why discourage someone who is trying hard? I won't do that. Thank you Brooke, Nancy

EXCELLENT.
Your poem free flowing with good rhyme is as tasty as the berries in the artwork. I found my mouth watering.
You have a great art of creating such vivid imagery I felt I was next to the brooking sucking the juice of those berries.
While you thank the Lord, I thank you for the wonderful poem.

Excellent work once again Brooke. The poem is really lovely. I like nature poems very much. What I find more interesting though, are your Author notes. I learn a lot from them. This one teaches me that an easy way to get a meter right is to sing the poem to a familiar tune with the same meter /rhythm. It would be like making up new words for a song. Have I got that concept right?

Berry good poem, Mrs. Juicy. I liked the taste and the juice dribbled down my chin. "I am the vine and ye are the branches" Jesus said. Too many take fruit of the vine for granted, we are blessed with the food of life. Thank you for sharing your pips.

I wanted to give you a six but unfortunately Im all out! you are deserving of a six here. It flows very well, and the words you use create the perfect imagery..." The warmth sent from the sun have plumped these berries well.." I loved this! and where you thank God who made creation mine, I love how you can take something so seemingly simple and show it as it really is: A miracle of God and to be appreciated. Brilliant

The photo IS stunning, and so is your poem. I really like your word choice and use of the first person.

Very nice, as always, Miss Brooke.
Beautifully inspiring... sounds just like a hymn actually.

It's lovely in it's naturalness...

It makes you want to chomp some berries, it does!

I remember grandma's blackberry cobbler and picking those berries for her... I think we ate more than we brought back, but somehow we got enough for the cobbler back in a bowl for Grandma... those were so yummy and plump... and so were our bellies plump by the time we returned! LOL

What rotten little kids we were!

But Grandma never was cross or upset at us, she seemed to know that it was too great of a temptation for us to pass by. She just took the bowl and said how beautiful they were and how many there were! LOL... LIke we had brought her the king's ransom!

Your poem just brought back memories... that's all... Sorry to ramble.

It's a lovely one, as always, Miss Brooke.

Thanks for sharing!
