This chef says Yum!!!!
Great work bursting with creativity and originality.
I would send it to the people that grow them and you might see this on the carton.
Indescribably delicious.

This is so beautiful. You always express such appreciation for nature in all your work, Brooke. It's inspiring. I know that hymn and I just sang your poem to its melody and, alas, it works!! I love your last line.
Best wishes,
Lena

Hi Brooke, great artwork. This poem allows for me to take that trip down memory lane. Your words with their imagery placed me in the spot where I was picking berries as a youngster.
Thanks for sharing this really good piece of poetry,,,,,,,,Jim

What a brilliant idea, to use the meter of a hymn as the template for a poem. They certainly knew how to write a song, those old hymn writers, didn't they? Despite my many years of non attendance at church, I can still remember huge chunks of words from school assembly hymns, and what splendid, rousing words they were. Very few new hymns I have ever heard come near to their magnificence.
Your poem/song has a lovely simplicity to it, which fits beautifully with the theme, the joy to be found in small gifts.
I also like the way you have turned this into a hymn of your own thanks.
Wonderful artwork. Is it really a photo?
Lovely writing, Brooke, and with a flavour all of its own. (I didn't mean that to be a pun...)

Sally, yeah, the new hymns all sound like they're trying to be pop hits sung by boy bands. LOL Thanks so much, my friend. Brooke

Your picture so fit your words, just beautiful. It made my mouth water for the taste of a wild berry, thanking God for all his creations. I enjoyed this very much. Blessings

What a lovely presentation of a lovely poem, Brooke.
After reading your notes below, I read the poem again, or should I say, sang, and enjoyed it even more.
Well done.

Nice and bouncy with great 'b' alliterations in the first stanza(berries burst; brook that burbles by)
The second stanza's 'I thank you' repetition is a nice prayerful alliterative addition to perfect rhyme and meter.
Yummy, mouthwatering descriptives in the first stanza, Brooke.
