Hello, jusstuf.
I loved this brilliant read. The couplets are excellent and the unique way you combine them with the story is fascinating. This could have had me fooled into thinking it was an actual report. (Not that it was true) Yet, as Shakespeare said, "...there are stranger things in heaven and earth than this world dreams of..."

This one I really enjoyed writing. It became to long for a poem so I created the story instead. Thank you for your generous and encouraging comments and review,,,,jim

A very good story poem. A poetic genius struck and made you tell this story they way it actually occurred. Blatant and from the mouth of the one intended. (I do know it is fiction.) LOL.

You've framed your story poem as an interview by a Virginia newspaper reporter in 1849. The supernatural was a fashionable subject in Victorian England, which your story closely pre-dates. Well done. :) Nancy

Well done! I think that this is very clever and I can't imagine how long it must have taken you to write out. I like how the story is framed as an answer to one question. The back story that you provide completes the scene. The pace of the story is very even across all of the two lined sections. I really enjoyed this.

This from start to finish was an hour and a half. It was so much fun to write because of my passion for the vampire cult. Thank you for your comments and your review,,,,,jim

Very creative approach to getting the 'big story,' and told in rhyming couplets.
The interview certainly engaged my sympathy for her and her predicament.

i love vampire stories ! with this one having a protagonist vampire opting to end her existence than to continue in such darkness & despair.... the reluctant heroin . the plot has probably been used by many an author in this genre but the poetic take is unique ;))
