I liked the poem, quite relaxing and creates a vivid image in my mind of times past and also of childhood carefree ways.
I had to read along to understand, but I found it quite relaxing.

This reminded me so much of my own childhood. I'm the middle of five kids. We took snowball fights seriously. Not content with snowmen, we had elaborate forts and snowhorses that we rode upon. Our writing was limited, as four of us were girls. Loved it. Since my name is on it, may I keep a copy for myself?

This reminded me so much of my own childhood. I'm the middle of five kids. We took snowball fights seriously. Not content with snowmen, we had elaborate forts and snowhorses that we rode upon. Our writing was limited, as four of us were girls. Loved it. Since my name is on it, may I keep a copy for myself?

Thanks so much. I'll keep a copy of this stashed with my favorite things. I start NaNoWriMo at midnight tonight so I won't be here much for the next 30 days. But, I'll be back. (Spoken in my best Arnold/Terminator voice.)

It's too bad you have to go to all that trouble at the end to explain things. If folks would just take a little time the dialect is very easy to understand. It's part of the joy of reading your work, Bonny Lad! At least it is for me. I always read first before listening. It's always a thrill to know that I got most of it right.
