Kittens are one of God's great creations. The are so much fun. Sorry for my tardiness. I was sent to bed for a few days. I am still in bed, but feeling better.

Hi Barbara! SO glad to hear from you! Yes, kittens are one of the joys of life, for me. We had around 15 when we moved here, and had to give most of them to the local "humane" people. I could not keep all of them, and we couldn't find homes for them. I cried and cried. The mother was dumped off, pregnant. I wish I could find the people who did that. Oh...and I am glad you feel better. I think of you often, and wish I could come and visit you in your "warm"? State of Texas. I am so tired of Indiana. I "waste" 6 months of my life each winter. I am an outdoor lover, but not in cold. "( Do you have a laptop? If I were in bed, I would be computerless! I want a new Mac. HA! I wish! I am behind on reviewing, thanking people and writing...I am so tired. I promised I would see the doc, and I need to keep my word. Bless your heart, keep in touch Barb. xoxo. Susan

I normally use a Dell PC, but I bought a cheep laptop for times when I am restriced to bed. I have a MAC laptop for work. We were all issued one. I honestly don't like it, it's totally loaded, but I think it's what you get used to.

OH! I keep hearing Macs are so great? So...I will have to investigate. I have an older Dell desk...it's so full of virus' it's hard to use it. I need a whole new hard drive. I do want a laptop tho. I am getting my mind ready to go back outside and slip around taking care of these darned horses. Is there any grass in Texas? I hear it's in a drought? I can't wait to sell this house! ") S.

We have grass, but we had a wet year this year.

") And WE had a drought, all our lush grass was gone after July. It's usually green here 9 months a year.? Geez. Sleep well tonight Barb!! xoxo. Susan

Kittens are a lot of fun, especially three or more at the time.
My grandmother had a snowball bush in her yard. Very beautiful flowers.
Well done with this one, Buck

Susan, beautiful and wonderful tribute to your Mom on what would have been her birthday today. I'm sure that when you finished this work, a smile lit up in her soul. Loved your imagery and the perfect description of the kitten at play with you under the snowball bushes. Perfect title and artwork to support this piece. Very well done, my dear friend.

Ama

I couldn't help but smile while reading this breif but charming little tale. We currently have two overly-mischeivous kittens that, like the kitten in your story, are wild and hyper one moment, then sacked out and cuddly the next. This is a soothing and adorable story you've written...thank you for sharing :)

Hi Jinxie! Thank YOU! I am tickled that you are a cat lover too and have babies even! I wish my cat were little again. But she is the sweetest even at 11 years old...Merry Christmas if you celebrate! ") Susan

Susan,
what an adorable photo. I adore cats. Your writing is rich in imagery. I loved this. In a minimum amount of words your writing is very emotional. Secret gardens are my sanctuary. Your writing is top notch on this one. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a grand New Year. Remember love is free.
Melissa.

Hi Melissa! How right you are. It's funny how hateful some are, when all they have to do is be nice. I am so tickled that you enjoyed this...I was thinking of you as I wrote it. I wish I could be a kid again for a time...and play with my kittens again. Oh well, ") Merry Christmas to you too Melissa...a special hug for you...Susan

That's an awfully pretty picture, Susan: you and smudge and tiny white flower petals. Kittens are precious, and what a great way to spend a hot summer day. Great images. Nancy

Hi Sweet! I used to do this all the time as a child. Mom would come and find me and I would have to bundle the kitten or kittens up and return them to the barn. Her snowball bush got to be really big, and was just beautiful. I hope to plant one someday. If I can ever have a permanent place to call home. Thank you for this lovely review! ") Suse

Hi Cookie! Thank you so much. I used to play under her snowball bush all the time. Sometimes I would just sit and read, others, play with the kittens. Wish I could go back...oh well. I am thrilled that you enjoyed it Cookie. Thank you...xoxo. Suse
