Hi Carol...we are never to old to listen the wisdom of a child. I love this story, it is well written and so believable in today's world. Sadly not all children are taught not to talk to strangers. Excellent....blessings....chey

Even the ones that are taught often forget...Recently my grandson had an incident that could have been frightful...lucky for us..it turned out okay. Thus the idea of the stories. Thanks for the wonderful review. Carol

This is an interesting tale with a moral story. I struggled a bit with who your audience would be up until the slap in the face I thought it was directed at children but then when I read that part I got confused about who should be reading the story. It's a great story either way... just something to think about.

In the original Red Riding Hood the wolf ate the grandma...I thought a slap by the robber was more appropriate..My grandson was recently confronted my some strangers...it turned out okay but it could have been bad. Thus the story reminding children how strangers can approach you in different ways. Thanks for reading and reviewing. Carol

This was a charming read and I absolutely loved your closing line! I thought the descriptions were ace and the character Red was really well defined

Recently I think I told you about Gavin and the couple that approached him in the church parking lot. He was missing for thirty minutes. Even though he knew not to talk to strangers, circumstances made him forget. I think this story and the Goldilocks one have lessons to remind our children...Thanks for the review. Carol

Hi again BA,
Very clever reworking of the old story. I like the way you've given her the sense t remember what she has been taught, but she certainly meets a lot of strange people in her neighbourhood!

Recently something happened to my grandson that could have turned our very very bad. I wanted some way to reinforce the many different ways a stranger could approach a child. Thanks for reading and the review. Carol

There are some very scary people out there. I'm not sure why - when I was a kid I went everywhere and anywhere and was never once molested or approached. Patrick

And it was a delightful version. I so agree, never talk to strangers. The van following her reminded me of my childhood. I had no where to run, so I picked the most friendly house I could find and ran to the door and knocked. An old man answered. I told him what happened and then I left with no fan in sight.

You just never know. An incident happened with my grandson recently and we were lucky it turned out okay...but another time it might not have. He knows the rules and can tell you...but the situation was different and he didn't think. Thanks for the review. Carol

I definitely like your
unique take on the Little
Red Riding Hood story. I
think it would be a wonderful
story to share with young people,
a great way to get the message
across about "stranger danger". It
is superbly written in an easy flowing
style with delighful dialogue. Bravo!

Thank so much...I was hoping that the message would be a clear one. A recent happening with my grandson is what stimulated these stories. Ours turned our okay but others do not. Seems regardless how many times you tell a child..they forget...

So very true, and it doesn't happen to just little girls. Excellent write, should be made in to flyers and handed out. L

This is a great modern day twist to "Little Red Riding Hood"! I will have to read it to my grandchildren. Why don't you send it in to a publisher.

Thank You My Friend,

Knowledge

Hey, this modern version of Little Red Riding Hood is entertaining, especially the last line, where the advice gets back to the adult: "See what happens when you talk to strangers, Grandma."
You are so creative...

You are doing very well in modernizing the old fairy tales that we learned as children. Very good version and well written. No SPAG.
