This makes for very pleasant reading and, whilst you have mainly good rhyming, you do not have a regular metre to produce the rhythm.

The search for self sometimes goes on for a lifetime. The important thing is that the authentic self is found and freed from an inauthentic prison. That's what makes a person feel "shoddy." I hope I am reading this poem correctly. If I am, I like it very much. It has a lot of feeling packed into it. Enjoy your singular vacation of discovery.

I love your poem Pupa! This journey of self-discovery is an important one that if not taken and destination found, you'll forever feel unfulfilled.
I'm glad you see the importance of this. I want to encourage you by telling you that the "you" you're searching for isn't that far off as you might think. She has already made you realize from within that you need some time alone. If she has already done this, conviced you of this, then the second step isn't too hard to find... and then the 3rd, and so on... follow your heart, savour the silence and breathe deeply....One more thing, when you journey to finding you... pack lightly as the parcel you bring home will be heavier and more precious.
