The speaker and Hugo never kissed in three years??? I would be quite suspicious of that, but I suppose the speaker, put off by her molestation, welcomed this.
When she can't stand the thought of telling him she is not a virgin and cuts off all contact, that is told in a most devastating way. Brooke

Hugo was from Cuba and there, a man never kissed a woman unless he was engagged. I probably should clarify that in the chapter. Thank you for your kind review.

Oh Valerie, this is absolutely heartbreaking! I don't know whether to shout and scream in frustration, or weep with the futility of it all. That bloody man caused you to lose your love! I am so sure that Hugo would have understood, but even so I still see why you could not take the chance. I feel for you, I really do. And you're right. Some hurts time never heals.

Oh Valerie, this is absolutely heartbreaking! I don't know whether to shout and scream in frustration, or weep with the futility of it all. That bloody man caused you to lose your love! I am so sure that Hugo would have understood, but even so I still see why you could not take the chance. I feel for you, I really do. And you're right. Some hurts time never heals.
