I was surprised at the warnings for strong language or content because I read nothing that fit that description.Seems like such a wonderful relationship for Valerie and Mrs B. but given the nature of the book I'm wondering if....

This chapter is very well written and has many interesting facts. I enjoyed to learned the bond between Valerie and Mrs B. Really enjoyed the details of the things of they did together.
The treasure hunts sounds nice. It's a secret between them.

This shows that Valerie did have one good friend in Mrs. B. She promised not to tell their secret and never did. She had a new hat and loved it.

Mrs. B. what a hoot and I am sure the first and only real bag lady I ever knew. WE had such fun together.

What a lovely story of your kind neighbor, Mrs. B. I wish I had had a neighbor who was so good to me. I'm sure you were an adorable child and she was the lucky one to have you for company. This is well told, in great detail, so that the reader feels they are watching from a short distance.

I think about her all the time. She was an odd woman but we had some terrific times together. I guess she could be thought of as the original bag lady.

I just love Miss B. !! The adventures were a learning experience, but I can understand why she told her not to tell her mother of their treasure hunts. LOL Well done, did not see any spag.
I could just picture her wearing the pink hat with her too large boots slapping on the ground. How adorable.

I like this chapter about Valerie and Mrs. B, who seems to be a wise person and a good excample and role model for the child.

Mrs B sounds like a wonderful who understands children. I think we all had someone like her in our lived. My neighbor lived two houses down and was a wonderful lady. I have very fond memories of her.

Seeing your Seal award has made me go right back to the beginning of your book, it may take me awhile to get through, But I do like your style of writing, so honest and imaginative I say that nicely from a childs point of view, you explain it beautifully. I know it gets worse, but you have done well and with a lot of guts to share your story.
    well done
have you sent it to any publishers? as it is worthy.

The young and the elderly should bond. The young is inquisitive and the elderly has years of experience. This is very well written
