What? Gremlins in your verse? Sounds horrible but you certainly make it a charming problem.
I think those Gremlins are in my replies feature. I write nice replies to the people that are kind enough to review my work. Then the replies get lost, and I have to rewrite and try to be original just in case the reviewer actually got my first reply. And, I can't edit my posts like I want. I've had to give up changing font colors.
Gremlins! That makes perfect sense now.

This is a very cute minute poem. We must remember to never feed the gremlins after midnight.
There are funky little symbols that show up if one isn't very careful and once they show up, they are nearly impossible to remove with the two possible exceptions being apostrophes and hyphens.
Much enjoyed and let's hope these pesky fellas move to another planet. :)

I'm thinking they're as much a staple here as "tribute poetry," and every bit as annoying. They've existed as long as I've been a member, and I certainly don't see them diminishing in frequency...or variety! Like you stated, they infiltrate all KINDS of different places. Thank goodness for the eagle-eye reviewers who are willing to speak up and let us know. But OY! The exasperation of it all. In this day and age? Ridiculous. So Amateur Hour. xoxo

The place I get the most gremlins is when I'm doing a review. It seems that I speak the words in exactly like I want them at the next thing. I know when I go to review it later it is messed me up big time. Patricia.

Hi Tom. Gremlins is FanStory slang for the computer mistakes that infest your work after you post it. It really does look like hieroglyphics or other computer gobbledygook. Or, they remove your photo for no reason. Thanks for your review on this one. I have seen how those gremlins infest our work on many occasions and get so frustrated. I couldn't help but chuckle as I remembered those sweet, adorable faces, but I don't laugh when every time I use a hyphen, I will find those little buggers everywhere; seems I can correct it, and they magically come back again. It's so frustrating. But at least I know I am not alone.
