The poem is filled with color and vibrant images and I so do wish I had a green thumb. I can grow my roses and geraniums...anything else is quite doubtful. Enjoyable poem, my dear.

Carol,
Thank you for the wonderful review. I have a green thumb, but it's a chore sometimes. I have northern lilacs and the Texas sun is brutal on them. Lots of water and love keeps them growing.

Awesome! I think my problem is first, my body doesn't take kindly for me crawling on the ground anymore and secondly, I don't have the patience. I used to be a regular working machine, but I need some maintenance now. LOL

Carol,
Isn't that the truth. I always tell people my check engine light came on at 50 and never shut off. It's hell getting old.
I know you have been busy but did you fix that typo in one of your chapters? I apologies, because I don't remember which one.
Have an awesome day my friend

Once again we see another example of your love of nature vividly included in your rhyming verse. Your fluency is lacking somewhat here, however, and this is not helped by your tendency to write your sentiments in the form of a list. Thanks for sharing, Cecilia. Take care Debbie

I love mixed gardens of flowers. We don't have bluebonnets, but the other flowers are familiar. Flower gardens of the casual and colourful sort always get my attention, and your casual rhymed verse, including some unusual word choices, fits the theme. I think I'd put an apostrophe and an s in "for growing's sake" in the first stanza, though.

The one thing that I love about spring is my garden, It expresses the creativeness of God. The summer brings out the fullness of the flowers, well written.

This is a beautifully written poem about the flowers in your area, and I enjoy listening to it very much. I think there's nothing quite as lovely as seeing a field of bluebells along the highway when you're driving through Texas. May you have a wonderful day and may God bless you and may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Patricia

Now see, this is a fantastic subject for a sonnet, no its not a disjointed comment but a relevant reference LOL
You obviously have a love of all growing things, use that love and knowledge to weave a metaphor from the subject and then develop that though into the second stanza leading to a conflict in the third.
You can do this

** This reviewer has pledged to rate in accordance with the criteria outlined on the Q&A page.**
Indeed, your garden appears to be quaint with the variety of flowers and insects that thrive there.
Because you have chosen to write a lyrical poem with ABAB rhyme, your meter should be more consistent.
This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.

Nature's environmental propensities are amazing, we have a beautiful flower with a shade of startling crimson and black, which grows in the desert, but blooms only in certain conditions, it is called the Sturt pea, it is our state emblem, beautifully written Cecilia, blessings Roy
Typo : (Azalais) azaleas? 2: peace has settle(d)
