Good for you. I admire your spirit, and it looks as if you will be on your way to walking with your walker soon. Just go at your own pace. It's strange how we can have these nightmares that reflect out real-life fears. I often dream of being lost. I'm frequently at a loss about something. This is very well written and you describe your dream very well. Good luck to you. judi

Wow, thanks, Judi, for the six stars and empowering review.
This comes as a surprise since I posted a poem earlier today.
Yet I am happy nonetheless for your admiration of my spirit.
Dreams and nightmares can haunt us during the daytime when we are awake. I appreciate your kind words.
I will walk again, and soon.
Thanks for the good luck wishes.

You did a good job describing these events, Jesse. It sounds like you are facing each obstacle head on, and not giving in to nightmares and other missteps that get in the way. I believe that our attitude about things goes a long way to heal pain, whether it's physical, mental, or both. As I read your descriptions, I see that happening to you. You are thinking things through and are finding the best way to manage so one day you will walk as you used to.

A good example is your brother not needing the walker so you can now use it and gain more mobility and be closer to your ultimate goal. You end with a voice full of confidence. I say, good for you! I will look forward to your next update. Take care and be well.

Hi Jesse,

Well, it's good that you're taking strides (pun intended) with the walking again. It's a nightmare and no mistake! I shattered my ankle and broke my leg in January and was immobile for 3 months which is only a drop in the proverbial ocean!

Yeah, get that walker back, too!

Wishing you a healthy recovery
G

That is truly inspiring, Jesse, and will give heart to so many others who struggle like you have. Replacing the nightmares with positive dreams is also a brilliant way to go, I must try that. After my knee replacements it was a joy to be able to walk again without pain, but that took patience and time. My walker was with me all the time, until the day I tried to walk without it. My husband was there ready to catch me. That was a great feeling, walking unaided. So, I understand perfectly how you felt, and it will get better as each day passes. I hope you get your walker soon!! Well done! Love and hugs, Sandra xx

Thanks, Sandra, for this empowering review. It feels good to know I am inspiring readers who can relate. I am sorry you broke your ankle.
It takes patience and time. I know I will be using my walker for a while still but the steps I take make me feel alive!
My brother will be dropping off the walker later today.
I am looking forward to it.
Thanks for the love and hugs.

Congratulations, Jesse! That's a big achievement. I used a wheelchair and then a walker, when I broke my ankle... double fracture. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, my friend. I am sorry you broke your ankle. I am going from a wheelchair to a walker to walking to running. Nothing is going to stop me now.

Hello Jesse,
No matter what stands in the way, will and determination can find the path.
150 steps is a journey to the future. An uplifting story that can inspire others.
I'm not sure if this means you had your knee surgery or if you are advancing even without it. Several of my neighbors have had knee replacement and done quite well, though it does take time.
The key is to continue to build on your progress, one step at a time, one day at a time.
You will walk, my friend.
Best wishes.
Robert

What a great story of determination. The story flows nicely from beginning to end. I guess if you set your mind to something that you really want, dreams can come true.

Good luck to succeeding with walking again.
