Hi Roy,
There's a great song by Wendy & Mary, on their album "The Wind Came Singing". It's called "Lion and Lamb", and it echoes the meaning of your poem.
I've seen this same scene in a Facebook video, a lion with a young calf in Africa's wilderness. The calf has no idea what is about to happen, so innocent its heartbreaking. That's the way it is today. Its harsh reality of the world we live in.
I hope you might look up the song.
One spot to look at,
"And though we may not know life's (pa)
we have faith's rulership." ... (did you mean to type "path"?)
Blessings,
Kimbob

Thank you for this encouraging poem alluding to that passage in Isaiah. It's certainly a picture of Hope and the time in the perfect Garden when all were in harmony. We have so much to look forward to!

Roy,
You had me at hello at this poem: "The Lion and the Calf."
A poem using animals as a metaphor for God's guiding hand; we people being his progeny through Christ. So nicely done, Roy.
Thank you for the apt scriptures.
Have a nice Spring weekend.
It's cold here! lol
Blessings,
Cindy

I have that confidence in God too. He can do whatever He feels is necessary. We all need to have that faith. Thank you for sharing this God inspired poem with us.

Roy,
Another great poem. I think God speaks through your poetry. There is always a lesson to be had. How do you come up with all these great poems?
I struggle when I try to write them. I'm working on another Kratos poem, but I can't seem to get my rhyme right. Any suggestions?

The lion and the calf speak
of a time to come that is peaceful under the government of Jesus Christ; this requires faith to believe
Nicely written poem that reminds me of where, and in whom my faith should lie.

Very nice, Roy. I do believe it is important to keep that eternal perspective, and let it mould all we do and say. The future with Him is greatly anticipated! Well done.

This shows us that no one has to be our enemy. Circumstances can throw us together with folks we normally would avoid, but we learn to get along. Why can't that work every day? Good writing. Made me think. Karen

Great concluding lines in this: "I see beyond this troubled world/ the lion and the calf." I hope and pray we can realize this vision of the world. So true, we can't control the flow of life. As you write, faith in God can direct our path. Excellent rhyme, and elegant wording. A very thoughtful presentation, as you pray that God will "anoint your lips." judi
