HI Bill, I dropped by to see what you
were up to...and I saw you posted this
poem...
I feel awful that I missed it...I wish you
would let me know when your posting...
I went to Florida to be with my daughter
for the holidays...I was gone from Nov...to January...
but that is no excuse to have missed your poem
and your birthday...I just have to many things
going on...and I don't have time for to much...
I didn't come on for awhile...

I love your poem...made me laugh...clever...

Hello Linda,

Really good to hear from you. It has been a very cold and snowy winter here. We had snow on the ground for the whole month of January, I don't remember ever seeing snow stick around that long in my whole life.

I hope and pray that this reply finds you and your family all in good health.

I never know when I'm going to post something, whenever I log-on and see something that I'm interested in I just start writing. I'm like you, I don't spend much time on Fanstory anymore, I can't believe that I've been a member for 16 years now, man. how time flies.

HI Bill, so good to see you sweet
guy...I was in Florida for a short time in January...But I went the second week
of Nov...I love spending the holidays
with my daughters family...
otherwise we have had a lot of snow this year...today I went outside...and
my car was covered with red clay...
I called my son...he said Kanas had
a dust storm last week...and it carried
the clay this way...unbelievable...

I have tried to come on more...but
the baby I babysit for...at 18 months
started having seizures...and now they say she has Epilepsy...she is now 3 and she needs me to be there for her...I wrote a poem for prayers for her...she is such a little trooper...
so between taking care of myself...and her...I truly don't have a lot of time...

This is a witty self deprecating senryu about how dumb you think you are. Though if you can safely do woodwork, you can't be that dumb.
Yes this is an overused adage.

I think we all feel this way from time to time. Excellent theme for a poem about the aging process. We all make mistakes and continue to learn in life even when we get older.
