This story, My Desk, makes me assume that you made it to that industry center, the desk, and that is why we are seeing this piece on change. it is so important that you can write about your feelings and recall what happens day to day. I could not imagine being unable to communicate with others, or even with myself.

Hi Jesse,
This is a well written journal entry. I find writing in any format is cathartic in its own way. I hope this helped you allay your sadness. The people who ghosted you on the internet have lost a good person and friend. I hope you find another caregiver as good and friendly as Grace. Good for you for voting early. It is the best thing.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a good rest of the day and week.

Jesse, Just remember not to give up! Remember, I can do all things through Christ, but not on my own. It sounds like you, my friend, are on the road to recovery. You are in my prayers! Blessings, Teri

I wish I knew all the right answers to pass along to you, but Lord knows I don't and wouldn't likely be any help. They call it the cycles of life for a reason. A cycle is a circuit or circle, and in life things rotate from good to bad. So, when things are there worst, there is hope they'll get better. But when all is good, get ready, things are about to fall to pieces. Please know there are always those who care and have you in their prayers. Thanks for sharing.

Jesse,
This story pulled at heartstrings for many reasons:
1) It's so relatable on many levels. I, too, have a desk of obligations that I have not fulfilled due to a lack of time, energy, motivation or mindset.
2) I understand the separation from your caregiver. My mother had an excellent caregiver for years. There is a bond that you don't want to see broken. I get it. Prayerfully, the Lord will provide you another caring caregiver.
3) Your determination to walk again is quite inspiring. You will get there, Jesse. I am rooting for you, my friend.

A true story of hope and courage. In your true story you said, "Everything starts from now. Brooding over split milk doesn't get me anywhere." So true, you inspired me with your writing.

Standing up and walking across the room unaided is the challenge you need now .This will surely lead you away from depression.. I too feel sad sometimes and as you say I don't know why...Take care ...all the best.

Thanks for sharing everything, Jesse. You have gone through a lot, and even though it can be frustrating, healing takes time. You are making great strides with walking around your house with a walker. The more you do that, the stronger you will become.
I don't know what causes people to stop being a friend. I don't think you are alone in that respect. I also don't know how many people enjoy required paper work, paying bills, etc. but do it we must.
I like your dad's saying, and I think learning is a part of our lives no matter how old. It keeps the brain fresh, like writing on FanStory as an example. You are accomplishing things, and that is a big step. I'm sorry your caregiver gave her notice. I hope you find someone who is a good match.
It is easy to look at the things we aren't doing because it is frustrating not doing them, but just keep your good attitude and doing things each day to keep busy. I think you will begin to focus more on the improvements instead of what you can't do. The way I see it is your desk helped you out because you accomplished a lot. Take care and have a great day and week ahead.

I loved this writing and I felt your pain and sadness. The main reason you are a great writer is your ability to make the reader feel what your feeling and as I reached the end I had tears in my eyes, so mission accomplished. I am looking forward to reading more from you!
