Yes, you are completely right on all four counts. It's too bad the contest didn't allow for ten words, because then you could have added in "chocolate" and "jewelry." The artwork is okay-ish, but I think those quadruplets who contacted you could have really made it special... xoxoxo

Ah yes, chocolate! That would have been a good addition, and maybe jewelry. Lol, yes, where were they when I needed them? They could have added SO much more to my eight words. Lol. Thanks so much for a super review.

Very well done! You're able to say a great deal with minimal words. I particularly liked your use of the word "banquet", implying that these treasures are all around us, just waiting to be savored!

I totally agree with you Wendy. You've said it all in these eight words. We don't need an abundance of money, if we have those simple things and know how to enjoy them. A beautiful presentation and good luck in the contest.
cheers,

Wow, Amen, that is pretty much it, Wendy. If these two are your granddaughters they are precious. Or is one a mom. I can't tell with my eyes. But whenever I see one that looks like a grandchild, that is when I love to stop in and say hi for sure.
What a lovely poem. Perfect eight words for this contest and oh so true. I love it!
I came over here to tell you that I do not expect you to review it,, but I wanted you to know that I wrote a thank you friendship poem the other day and I included you in a line. And I just thought you''d want to know. All my friends got one line. Like I said, please don't feel like you have to review it but I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you. I love this poem. Love, Debi

Thank you so much for your lovely review, Debi. This was just an internet image which seemed to suit what I wrote. Sums up the beautiful aspects of this life.
Thank you so much for including me in your friendship poem! Thank you for thinking of me - that was so nice of you, and I appreciate it! I'll check it out.

Your part is about how you and I relate with our grandkids so much alike.

Sign me up! I want for little more than this to be sure! I didn't think it was possible to sum up my favorite things in eight words, but you've done it with beauty and ease! (Now if I could only be the age of those children! Do you happen to have a way back machine?

Lol. No, sorry - but would you really want to go back and have to live life again? So many pressures on children these days! I'm looking forward to the next life where I'll have strength and peace, no pain or tears. That sounds good to me! Thanks so much for reviewing. I always appreciate it.

You got me. I'd want to just keep the happy memories of those days and be able to smile at the simpler things that thrilled us. This life is quite enough, thank you!

This is really great Wendy. I'm usually pretty good with the shorter forms but I always found this one a challange. I like the way you laid this out and how you organized this.
The message also is great. All my favorites as well.
Well done.

Wendy, those are all things that are important to me. I enjoyed your poem. I like how you put all 4 things together and called them life's satisfying bouquet. The picture is a good choice. Good luck in the contest.

The joys of life at their best here in this short poem for the contest, a summer's day full of nature, learning and learning with the natural sounds of the outdoors to top it all off, much enjoyed, love Dolly x x x
