Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I thought this was a very powerful chapter, realistic and insightful in terms of how she would feel, and the parental relationships - and her relationship with them wanting to ask for the details, but unable to. Very well done.

Thank you, Wendy, and I'm sorry it took me this long to say that, but I'm just now getting back into my regular routine after life threw me a couple zingers. Thanks again, and I hope you're well!

Hi, Laurie. I hope you are well

I love animals. So, for me the kitten was the star.

I like this series. It's shocking that Georgie was killed. I mean, she was a pain, but Maddy still loved her

Did her dad ever speak to her again? He's not mentioned after the accident happened except to say that he's not there and maybe he got on his car phone after the accident

Are you Maddy?

I enjoyed reading your book chapter

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

I'm not Maddie, no! But yes, the dad comes into play in the first book of the series, the first novel-size book, at least. It's up on FanStory in an earlier version, or you can get it free on Amazon if you have Kindle Unlimited. Or the paperback is up there, too.

Your writing is so well written. I was drawn immediately into the emotions of lose and healing. The way you weave together the trauma of the accident with the memories of Georgie is powerful. Your ability to capture those emotions and share them in the story story is so impressive. Well done!

You are so kind, and I'm sorry it took a month for me to say thank you. Life caught me unawares and I'm just starting to get back on track. Thanks for reviewing, Michael.

I love this and I want to read more of these novels/novellas. Question though: does the unposted portion of this novella explain family dynamics in detail before Georgie's death. If so, I'd love to read the rest. If not, maybe add that in? Thanks!

A version of my book one is up on FanStory, but I can't promise it's the same as what was published. It's called Planted on Perry Street. I'm not sure if she dives too much into relationships before this novella, All in the Cards. She's only 8, so she probably takes life pretty much as it comes and doesn't do a lot of introspection. If you want the actual paperback, it's on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Planted-Perry-Street-Mystery-Mysteries/dp/173557340X/ref=tmm_pap_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&dib_tag=se&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.iFt-XrIHjFlxQ6ukJsyAqQ.t9Am2sSDZ3wy4bIP23i8O1g4tvshJK-TstpB-JomrWc&qid=1723492492&sr=8-1

or better yet, it's free if you have Kindle Unlimited!

Thanks, Lindsey. Your words mean a lot to me.
