Your poem is moving. People struggle everyday from some kind of bigotry (handicapped, wrong race...etc.
In not losing the spirit of your clear message, many people of all races can agree with your poem.

Your notes and acrostic poem say several different things. July 4th, 1776 is when we celebrated a glorious victory and it wasn't until June 19th that Blacks began celebrating the emancipation proclamation.
There is a dispute involved. Whether or not it is the right date it is still worth celebrating.
