Neither would I... but I liked your story, bare and unadorned. I like self-referential meta-fictions set in the Fanstorian universe. It's a good place to spend time.

I can almost visualize this OTHER writer in a parallel universe doing all these steps in hopes of winning this contest while his wiser clone sat in this universe grinning. A fun read. Rod

A humorous and cynical look at FS contests! The parallel universe is a good literary device to get across your point. I wish you the best in the contest with your minimalist effort. It will be interesting to compare the results with your parallel self.
