I think I missed some of your story. I was quite sick with pneumonia for over a month and didn't do any reviewing for some time. The story is excellent.

Hermes remains in character, a bit more than a mere messenger, deceptive
and cunning, but also persuasive and diplomatic. (alas not so with Apollo)
Love the interplay of language (also part of Hermes many gifts)
It looks like Adam will have a chance to complete his 'godhood trial', though becoming Hermes apprentice might not be all it's cracked up to be.
And Theo will have to confront Nix's twin sons, without losing himself in the process.

I'm glad you noticed the characteristics of Hermes. I am trying to follow his character traits. He's a prankster, but then some take him to be.
Apollo has his reasons, and is not entirely out of the picture.

Hi, you're right about Adam and how he has gifts he didn't realize he had until forced to use them. And, yes, Theo needed a reality check on leadership and focus, lol. I appreciate your review and comments.

Marvelous weaving of the story, Rhonda. If Theo hopes to be a ruler he will understand how difficult some decisions are, such as letting Adam search for Echo instead of him going instead. He has far greater challenges at the moment. It was a great read.

I liked your dialogue and the maturing of Adam as he seems to grow in confidence in what he must do. Hermes isn't quite trustworthy so we just have to believe him when he says that the Sirens' taking Echo and Hannah is just a distraction from Theo's mission. Hope that's true!

This is interesting as Theo forces himself to allow his brother to go rescue Echo, Hannah, and the others. His duty is clear, and he does it as proof that he can become a ruler like his father.

I appreciate your comments as well!! Adam was a sleeper. He lived under his brother's shadow too long. Now he has his own chance.
Theo will find those brothers, but the gift?? Will he have the courage to give it?
