Thoughtful words, Roy, words that I can surely identify with.On October 14,2023,I lost my sister, Cisilyn in final sleep...After weeks of pain and suffering. Sadness will linger, but I pray that she, and all those I have loved, will be resurrected. Jesus promised that "those in the memorial tombs will...come out" (John 5:28,29)..in harmony with God's original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise earth (Luke 23:43).
The Bible says, and I believe, "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it"..(Psalm 37:29...
Beautifully written, Roy, I too will take those words to heart...Blessings

I liked reading this. I heard of two people passing away and this line or two lines rather really hit home:
Yet in your mind the mem'ries merge,
and in the morning hope will surge.
We just have to keep working on our best goals and service to keep that hope bright.

You have written the words that I am feeling, Roy, the pain is intense. Being the youngest by many years, he was my brother, and after my parents died, I was more of a mother to him. My two sons thought of him as a brother. He was so precious to us all. To my mother, she always said he was a miracle child, a true gift from God. Mum was told she couldn't have any more children. Now he has gone home to be with her once more. Thank you so much, my dear friend. I will treasure your words and read them often when I'm feeling low. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

It's hard to lose someone., It is sadder and more depressed to miss the loss.
Although time eventually will heal. Yet how long does it take? I lost my wife. It takes at least 5 to 6 years before I can start a new beginning.
The most difficult part is to handle the depression. Once it is over, only remember the good memories and work harder manage to go through the depression. Daylight will shine after that.

Roy, you are a blessing. This was so delicate, heartfelt, yet somehow uplifting.
I think that maybe your own loss helped you connect with this poem. I think this will offer consoling feelings.

This is a very touching tribute, with a sure and steady meter and solid rhymes. I am sorry for the loss of your brother, if he was at all like you I'm sure he was a kind soul and true gentleman.

Hi Roy,
This is a compassionate poem that may uplift Sandra from the pain of her loss. I have never lost a sibling, but I know the pain of loss of my parents.
This is well rhymed and smoothly metered. I am sorry for her loss.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a good rest of the weekend.

Thanks for sharing the artwork, notes, and poem, Roy. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your brother. You wrote a very good poem for Sandra, and I know she will appreciate it. You offer many words of comfort, and that goes a long way to promote healing. It is hard to find things to say, but we can pray. I'm sure Sandra will relate to your second verse.
I agree that "within your heart you're not alone...
and in the morning hope will surge."
Thank you for this and for the addition to the book.
It is very much appreciated.
