I don't know why but I thought about the Mississippi River while I was reading this. I loved the rich imagery and the lush descriptions. Beautifully written. Gretchen

I am not able to comment on the form of free verse, but I was totally taken with the feelings and image I got from this read, I imagined waiting for my morning coffee, while admiring and waiting for the day to emerge, the warmth of the sun, the gentle breeze, as if not only nature was birthing a new day but also the birth of new life, an exceptional read, very well written****kahpot

This was a fantastic free verse, Gypsy. I found the dual pictures to be enticing and rather educational. I think you mentioned something about eyes and the sun, what ever you are doing, keep it up. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Thank you for taking everyday situations and turning them into as sensual poem. I really enjoyed reading this. Missouri also has snipes, although not painted ones. They may be only state that has them regularly.
