Oh my gosh, Tom, what a nail-biter! Greater love hath no man.... You forged such a bond by your sacrifice that it ingrained in her young mind and heart.

What a love story this whole book has been.

As I've said before,
Thank you for sharing your family's story,
Rhonda

Love can move mountains. This is a fine story, well told with good momentum. You were clearly watched over by angels as you traveled together to complete your family through this adoption. Blessings for all.

This is a very well written story about you adopting your daughter. It even brought me close to tears on many occasions since I've listen to the story. I wish you the very best in all of your life. I am sure that today Melissa must have a wonderful spot in her heart for you. God bless and have a good day.

Your description of traveling through the snow storm had me on the edge of my seat. God was definitely with you. I'm from Pennsylvania and am familiar with the dangers of driving through a snow storm. You demonstrated bravery and determination forging ahead despite the weather, and Malissa made a remarkably mature statement when she suggested turning back. I'm glad the experience was successful.

Super story. Excellent. And very well written.
And from such a young child!
Too bad that it isn't a contest entry. You could win posting money!
Best wishes.

What a moving story! I was especially surprised at Malissa offering to go back as she sensed how dangerous it was to drive through that snowstorm. But it is an experience she will always remember because you wouldn't give up or let anything get in the way of making the adoption official!!

Suggestions:
We bought a used ford wagon from a friend. (Ford)
carburetor and would often spudder (sputter)

Thank you for sharing this with us. When we lived in northern Illinois, I remember driving in similar situations and we didn't have a lot of money, but a lot of young children so had old beat-up cars. I can relate.

This fabulous and had everything I love to read in a true story: enduring love and overcoming obstacles.

We lived north of Buffalo during the late 70s and early 80s, and I remember a few terrible blizzards that shut us down for days on end. In one, I was having a miscarriage at home and my husband had put me in our (Ford) and drove blindly to the hospital. We learned to trust God in a new way during those times.

Precious story, my friend.

Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

For sure love will do that. Seems as if God was working for you making everything fall in place as His will. No doubt the spirit of God is in this marriage.

What a beautifully written story about this perilous journey to the Courthouse for the adoption. Your impressive descriptive detail kept me hooked throughout and the relief was palpable to say the least when they arrived. Tom's determination was rewarded, not only in his daughter's inspired letter but also in his own affirmation of faith and guidance. Thanks for sharing. Debbie
