Congratulations to you, barbara. This is great news, and I am glad you posted the first one and the follow up. We are a community of writers, and it's important to share the good things, and it is encouraging for others who might want to try.

A long time ago, I was looking for something different to read. I had been reading Michener, Clive Cussler, John Grisham, etc. I needed something more positive so I asked our local librarian and she suggested Debbie Macomber.

I went through all of her big contemporaries, and now am reading some of the up and coming ones. My son got me a book by Sariah Wilson. I don't know if you have read her, but I have read all of her books. She can write sexy scenes without the sex. Her stories are funny, have good twists, as well as obstacles, as any relationship has.

RaeAnne Thayne describes her books as "a clean and wholesome romance." So yes, romance is alive and well!!

I'm so happy for you Barbara. I didn't realize you would be one of the authors. Not a lot of people, but I have read that is typical. Six to eight is better than nothing and I am glad they supported your genre.

I can't imagine telling a writer I don't like their genre. Every writer can take notes on writing from all genres. Learning what to do or not to do is crucial for growth.     I already have another one set up for August 19th. I will be more prepared. I'm already starting. I am hoping to launch a new book then. Thank you for the support.

Barbara. I am thrilled for you, and just yesterday I had wondered how it went. That's very positive and exciting. I think I would be a bit daunted, but if sounds like a wonderful experience and it will be the start of more positive outcomes for you. And yes, we need to believe in our dreams - well I do. While I write gor the pleasure, and for a hobby of would be so great to have a book published. But I don't want to self publish. I don't think that's in my skill set.

    Thank you for the support. When it comes to self-publishing I don't either. I have a publisher who helps with it.

This is so encouraging and inspiring. I'm glad to be able to witness what can happen to a successful author. Praise God. There may have been only 6 to 8 people at the Meet The Author, but look what happened because you were there. I pray for your continued success and lots of book sales.
