This poem seems like the first half of a tetractys and you did it perfectly to describe the phenomenon of time. I like the "time" factor in "ancient" as the concept of time is indeed ancient! Congratulations on the win!!

Hello Helen. Thank you. I had fun with that little challenge. Pairing time with ancient added a bit of depth (at least to me) and I hoped others saw it too. Hugs!!

Doesn't it though? You've brought me up short with this ten-syllable wisdom. So often I long to lay the hourglass on its side... Just a moment to enjoy the "now" without the realization nagging at me that already "now" is slipping to memory...
Very nicely done. Congratulations on your win!

Simply stated with thoughtful word choices.
Well illustrated and seemed quite fitting for the style constraints.
Message clear and concise and very relatable for age brings not only wisdom but often a slowing of mobility yet as one struggles time passes quietly on.
A standout contest entry.
Good luck

Yes a very succinct but universal sentiment expressed here in this very short poetic format - yes time is ever present for us though it moves around on 'ancient feet.'

This is a good entry into the 1-2-3-4 poem contest. The text is a great size for reading. I like it centered on the visual. The message is presented with clarity and is easily understood. I like the personification of time in your short poem. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

A poignant write as out time soon passes into oblivion and becomes ancient quicker than light. I enjoyed your poem for the contest, it could be a winner, love Dolly x

Father Time, who is as old as Mother Nature. Both of whom love to play jokes on Man. Some of which include coming up with stuff we need to ingest, but which, shall we say, makes our bodies more musically inclined and going bald.
